I was born in Łódź (Poland) - a city that built its future on the foundations of four cooperating cultures. I have lived here much longer than I have been alive, as many of my ancestors were born here. From my home, I learned respect for diversity, for differences. It's more than tolerance - it's a recognition that differences and multiplicity are values and conversations and discussions that arise from this are important. Unexpectedly for me, it has carried over into the way I work. I am a psychologist, psychotherapist, psychotherapy teacher and supervisor. In 1993, together with Katarzyna Szymańska, we founded the Polish Erickson Institute, where the individual approach and the search for resources in each person and family is the essence of the work.
